The Holy Bible: King James Version: Gold Print Standard
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness 2 Timothy 3:16.
This passage of scripture clearly indicates that God is the inspiration of the entire Bible; however the words directly spoken by the LORD in His Word are of extreme value to man.
In 1899, Louis Klopsch, conceived the idea to print the words spoken by Jesus in the New Testament red after reading the passage from Luke 22:20 which states “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.” This standard is used in Bible publishing today.
Since most of the Biblical content is contained in the Old Testament there should also be the need to highlight the spoken words of the LORD within those passages of scripture.
In Psalm 139:17 the psalmist declares “How precious are thy thoughts unto me, O God! How great is the sum of them.” Psalm 12:6 further states that “The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.”
More precious than silver is gold.
Gold is mentioned over 360 times making it the most referred biblical colors. Gold was also used extensively in the Sanctuary and the Temple furnishings and more so, the plating of Ark of the Covenant.
It is by this reasoning that we set out to establish a new format in Bible publishing, whereby the spoken words of the LORD GOD in the Old Testament as well as those not previously selected in the New Testament of the Beloved King James Version, to be highlighted in gold.
This edition of the King James Version: The Gold Print Standard is dedicated to the honor and glory of God our Father and His Son, Jesus our Savior.
